Tī Kōuka Forest Gin is Sandymount's love letter to the native bush of Aotearoa. Named for the iconic cabbage tree at the heart of the distillery, this is a gin built entirely around the botanicals of the New Zealand landscape — and there's nothing else quite like it.

The botanical bill reads like a walk through the forest: Kawakawa, Horopito, Tarata, Tī Kōuka bark, Harakeke seed, and Mānuka — each one chosen for the character it brings to the spirit. Aniseed and Mānuka take centre stage on the palate, balanced by a smoky depth and a peppery, sweet juniper finish. Horopito adds a subtle, distinctive heat; earthy undertones add complexity; and a smooth, rounded texture ties it all together.

This is a gin for those who want something genuinely rooted in place — expressive, layered, and unmistakably New Zealand.

Produced at Aotearoa's only carbon positive distillery — giving more back to the whenua than it takes.

Serve

Neat or over ice to appreciate the full botanical complexity. In a G&T with a light, dry tonic and a garnish of fresh Kawakawa leaf or lemon. Also excellent in a Southside or botanical-forward cocktail.
